753bc: Rome founded by Romulus
Rome was founded by the Trojans settlers and aneas in one myth. Romulus actually founded Rome in 753bc. On the seven hills by  the Tiber river. King Numitors daughter Rhea Silvia had twins Romulus and Remus, she claimed that they where mars, the god of war, sons. The current king of the kingdom of Alba Longa had Romulus and Remus killed by being thrown in the the river. The she wolf saved the boys and let them drink from her teats. two poor commoners saved Romulus and remus and adopted them as there sons. Romulus and Remus grew to men and discovered that they are heirs to the throne of Abla Longa. They felt it was there right to be ruling a town. So Romulus wanted to be the king of there newly developed town so he killed his brother Remus. Rome was founded by Romulus in 753bc 
509bc: Overthrow of Monarchy
Rome became a republic in 509bc. This happened Sextus, Superbus’s son, raped Lucretia. Lucretia was so ashamed that she committed suicide shorty after he raped  her. Lucretias friends and family got an army together to get Superbus and Sextus out of Rome.  Superbus fled Rome and survived, but Sextus was killed on his way to another city. Brutus and Collatinus were elected as the first two consuls of Rome 
343bc-264bc: Unification of Italy 
In 343bc the 1st Samnite war broke out to start the 143 year battle to rule all of Rome. The second war during this battle was the Latin war in 340bc. the Second Samnite war was in 326bc. the third Samnite war was in 298bc in central Italy. the final war was the Pyrrhic war 280bc in the southern part of Italy. By 264bc Rome owned all of Italy.


264bc-146bc: Punic Wars 
these wars started in sicily and was against the Carthages. The Carthages where Phoenicians unitors. They were very good navel fighter. The romans beat the Carthages by attacking them on land. The Carthages were not good land fighters they were to best at sea fighting. Carthages general Hannible was a very scary person to people. He went to Italy to kill and demolish all of Italy. Hannibal brought elephants and lots of soldiers and 










73-71bc Spartacus Slave revolt!
Spartacus was a slave, he was also a gladiator! he was from the town of Thrace. He started a revolt from the gladiator around 73bc-71bc. This revolt  started in the Gladiator training center in the city of Capua but ended up span up and down the country of Italy. Spartacus was defeated by Crassus. Crassus then took all the slaves and crucified every on of them in the main street of Rome for everyone to see. 




100bc-44bc Julius Caesar Historical Significance. 
Julius Caesers historical significance is the fact that he made Emperors. The way that he and Pompey fought drove the city of rome to change over to a emperor style of leadership. The first emperor of Rome was Caesars nephew Octavian. 





27bc-14ad Augustus.

First emperor. made every one do his own work. people liked what he did but he didn't actually do it his friends did it for him 
37ad-41ad Caligula.
Third roman emperor. He was a very sexual man. 
81ad-96ad Domitian.
Was a cruel ignorant person who only thought of him self. Rebuilt buildings under is name 
324ad Constantine:
Founded new capital "Constantinople" in ancient Greek city of Byzantium
Fall of Rome:
Rome had many factors that played into the its fall three main one where inflation, barbarian attacks and, and over expansion. Inflation caused money to be worth less. emperors spend to much money on statues and buildings. Prices for thing rose very quickly and people could not afford to buy things. Over expansion made it so rome could not easily travel for communications and resources. it also made rome need a bigger army to defend all its land and territory. Rome spend over half its money on he military helping with the inflation. barbarian attack helped with the fall. Here are some major contributing with the fall 
410ad- Visigoths attacked Rome. Rome abandoned Britain later the year 
439ad- Vandals conquered north africa and Carthage. Rome didn't try to get them back. 
451ad-  The Huns, led by Attila, came and devastated Rome. Rome barely recovered form the blow of the Huns 
455ad- The Vandals came back to Rome to strip Rome of all its worth. 
476bc- Rome officially ended with a Germanic army leader renamed Rome, and Made is own Kingdom of Italy
